NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Joy To The World, the first Christmas recording by acclaimed worship artist Lincoln Brewster, marks two consecutive weeks in the Top 5 on Billboard’s Holiday Albums chart. The recording debuted at No. 5 on the chart for the week of October 27, joining the ranks of iconic Christmas collections by Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby, among others, in the chart’s Top 10. Joy To The World remains at No. 5 for the week of November 3, following holiday outings by Scotty McCreery, Blake Shelton, Earnest Pugh and Christina Perri.
Joy To The World debuted at No. 1 on iTunes Holiday Music – Top Albums chart, following its release earlier this month. Seasonal offerings from Blake Shelton, Michael Bublé, Taylor Swift and The Vince Guaraldi Trio, among other artists, rounded out the Top 10. And adding to the album’s growing list of accolades, Joy To The World also reached the No. 1 position on CMTA’s Praise & Worship chart.
Joy To The World is produced by Brewster and Colby Wedgeworth, the album includes the first single, “Little Drummer Boy,” featuring a guest appearance by KJ-52; “Shout For Joy,” penned by Brewster, Paul Baloche and Jason Ingram; the worship favorite “Our God”; and new arrangements of such classic carols as “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and “O Holy Night (Another Hallelujah),” along with the three-movement instrumental, “Miraculum.”
A Dove Award-nominated worship leader,Lincoln Brewster, is a multi-instrumentalist and a songwriter. His 2010 Integrity/Columbia Music recording Real Life debuted at No. 1 on Nielsen SoundScan’s Praise & Worship Albums chart. Brewster serves as Worship Arts pastor at Bayside Church in Sacramento, Calif. In addition to solo performances, he regularly leads worship seminars and workshops around the country.
